Team India Player Analysis

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were the openers the last time India played in a T20 international. However, KL Rahul’s performance was fantastic in the IPL 2021, and it is highly likely that he will be alongside Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma for the openers.

As we have seen in the UAE leg of the IPL, Virat Kohli has not been able to maintain a healthy strike rate in the middle overs, and his sluggish batting is a deep concern for the team, especially at the time of T20.

Additionally, Suryakumar Yadav will have an expectation to live up to in this important cricket event. After an amazing performance in the IPL, he should be coming in confident for the T20 this year to play against Pakistan.

Rishabh Pant is likely to be the most suitable option to don the wicket-keeping gloves. He will be a player to look forward to after his notable knocks for Delhi Capitals this IPL season.

Hardik Pandya, however, has not yet flexed his muscles and didn’t bowl for MI in the UAE leg of IPL 2021. Still, everyone is confident that he will be a good fit for India to take against Pakistan.

After the sensational performance of Ravindra Jadeja, he is likely to be picked as the second all-rounder for the team. Team India will be hoping that Jadeja will bring a similar form to the field of T20, and he will surely be a player to look forward to.

The bowling front of India, consisting of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammed Shami, looks excellent. Both of them have shown some tremendous performances in IPL 2021 and bowled under pressure in all the crucial stages.

Moving on to Team Pakistan, the opening batsmen, duo Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan are in great form this year, especially in T20Is. The fans will be looking forward to bringing in their best performances in a heat-building match against India.

According to a news report, the duo is considered the “biggest threat to India” in the World Cup clash, and their past performances say why. Babar and Rizwan have scored 736 runs in T20Is together at an average of 57. The interesting part is that both of them have managed to cross the 700 run score in just 13 T20Is since January 1, 2021.
