About MyCasinoGuru
MyCasinoGuru is an independent casino comparison site that covers regulated markets one at a time and only ranks casinos whose licence we have checked on the regulator's own register.

Who we are
MyCasinoGuru is an independent casino comparison site. It is run by people who have spent many years working in online gambling, affiliate marketing and search, and who got tired of casino review pages that could not be trusted: rankings with no explanation, licence badges nobody had checked, and bonus banners shown in places where that kind of advertising is not allowed.
We are not a casino. We do not take bets, run games or hold player funds. Our job is to help adults in regulated markets compare licensed casinos using information they can check for themselves.
What we cover
We cover markets one at a time, and we only start on a market once we understand its rules well enough to write about it properly. Every casino has one master record on our side, but it is verified separately in each market, because a brand that is licensed in one country may not be licensed, or may operate under a different company, in the next.
Our launch markets are:
- Ontario, Canada, regulated by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) with iGaming Ontario. Minimum age 19.
- Peru, regulated by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR). Minimum age 18.
Colombia (Coljuegos) and Portugal (SRIJ) are next. The UK, Romania and New Jersey are possible later. You can read how licensing works in each of these places on our licensing page.
Why market by market
Online gambling law is local. What a casino may offer, who it may accept, which payment methods work and what protections players get all depend on where you live. A single global list of the best casinos is not much use to someone in Lima or Toronto, and in some places it would point people towards operators that are not allowed to serve them.
So a casino only appears in one of our rankings after we have matched its licence on that market’s official regulator register. We record the licence holder, the licence number and the date we checked, and we link to the register so you can check it too. Those checks are repeated at least every 30 days. If a check goes out of date, the casino drops out of the ranking automatically until it is checked again. Casinos we are still researching may be listed as “Unverified”, with no links, no score and no offers.
The full process is on our How we review casinos page.
How we make money
MyCasinoGuru is funded by affiliate commissions. In markets where it is legal, and only after a written approval for that market is on record, some casino pages carry links to operators. If you open an account through one of those links, the operator may pay us a fee or a share of revenue. That relationship can decide whether a link exists. It does not change a score, a ranking position or what we write. In Ontario we do not show bonuses or other inducements at all. Full details are in our affiliate disclosure.
What we will never do
- Publish fake player reviews or invented testimonials.
- Claim a casino is licensed without having checked the regulator’s register.
- Say we tested a casino with real money when the review is desk research. Every review states which it is.
- Let a commercial deal change a score or a position.
- Promote casinos to people in markets where they are not authorised to operate.
- Show bonus advertising where the local rules do not allow it.
- Present gambling as a way to make money. It is entertainment that costs money, and our responsible gambling page explains how to keep it that way.
Who writes our reviews
Every review names the author and the editor who checked it, and shows the date it was last reviewed. Our standards for sourcing, independence and corrections are set out in our editorial policy.
