Betty Casino review (Ontario)

Locally run, focused on slots and without a sportsbook. Betty's terms are clear on withdrawal timing, though players who want live dealer tables may be better served elsewhere.

How we scored it

7.9/10
  • Licence and authorization 9.5
    Evidence

The footer and terms say Betty.ca is operated by Betty Gaming CA Ltd., licensed and regulated by the AGCO and acting as an agent of iGaming Ontario, and iGO lists Betty Gaming CA, Ltd. The AGCO's 2026 penalty notice uses the shorter name Betty Gaming Ltd. We did not check the AGCO registry directly; you can search it on agco.ca to confirm the registration.

    Sources: igamingontario.ca, betty.ca, agco.ca
  • Ownership transparency 7.5
    Evidence

Betty Gaming CA Ltd. is named with its Toronto address (199 Bay Street, Suite 4000), but no parent group is named. The About page links an unexplained "Our subsidiaries" site (23broadway.org), and the App Store seller is Betty Gaming, Inc. A local address is a plus; the unclear group structure is why the score is not higher.

    Sources: betty.ca, apps.apple.com
  • Withdrawal terms 7.0
    Evidence

The terms allow up to five business days of internal processing (up to ten for jackpots under security review), require ID and address verification and charge no dormancy fee. The help centre sets a $9,999 maximum per transaction. Fee amounts and per-method times are not published, and clause 3.6 lets Betty refuse withdrawals within 14 days of a card deposit, so consider that before depositing by card.

  • Local payment methods 8.5
    Evidence

Help articles list Interac e-Transfer for deposits and withdrawals, Visa and Mastercard (including debit and prepaid) for deposits, Visa for withdrawals, and Apple Pay in the app. The terms require all payments in Canadian dollars. Interac both ways, in CAD, is the main reason for the high score.

  • Customer support 9.0
    Evidence

The contact page offers live chat and email 24 hours a day, every day of the year, through support@betty.ca, with complaints@betty.ca for complaints. There is no phone line, and we could not find help in French; if you need French, ask through chat before you deposit.

  • Player protection tools 8.0
    Evidence

Betty offers deposit, loss and playtime limits, timeouts of one day to three months, self-exclusion of six months to five years, BetGuard and account closure, with ConnexOntario linked. We found no reality checks, activity statements, wager limits or PlaySmart link on the responsible gaming page, which kept the score below rivals with fuller toolsets.

    Sources: betty.ca
  • Site and app experience 6.5
    Evidence

The iOS app (Betty Casino: Real Money Slots, copyright Betty Gaming CA Ltd) says it is built for Ontario and Alberta and AGCO-licensed, and the site links an Android app (ca.betty.app). We did not confirm the Google Play listing, so Android availability rests on that link. Terms and help are in the footer. Check a game's info screen for its payout rate (RTP), which we did not confirm.

  • Complaints record 6.0
    Evidence

On August 6, 2026 the AGCO penalized Betty Gaming Ltd. $120,000 after flawed age and eligibility controls let 9 people under 19 open, fund and gamble on accounts and 14 more register, breaching Standards 3.01 and 3.04. This is a recent player protection failure, so the score is low. We found no other AGCO action and did not review Trustpilot.

Overview

Betty is a newer casino brand built for Ontario, with a Toronto-registered operating company and a lobby centred on slots. It runs at betty.ca and does not offer sports betting.

This review is desk research based on the iGaming Ontario directory and Betty’s own website, including its terms of use. It is not a hands-on test.

Licence and ownership

Betty is listed on the iGaming Ontario regulated market directory. “Betty Gaming CA, Ltd” is on the directory’s operator list, although the directory does not show which operator runs which site.

Betty’s terms of use name the operator as Betty Gaming CA Ltd., at 199 Bay Street, Toronto, and refer to its registration with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. The footer states the site is regulated by the AGCO and managed by iGaming Ontario. Neither the terms nor the footer gives a registration number, so check the AGCO’s records if you want it.

“Regulated by the AGCO and managed by iGaming Ontario” is a fair summary of the province’s model. The AGCO registers and regulates private operators, while iGaming Ontario, a provincial agency, contracts with them and conducts and manages the games. Each operator offers its sites as iGaming Ontario’s agent.

To check for yourself, search for Betty on the iGaming Ontario directory and make sure the web address you are using matches the listing. A site that is not on the directory is not part of Ontario’s regulated market, whatever its footer says.

Games

Betty describes itself as a slots site and says it has more than 4,500 slot games. The home page highlights:

  • Most popular slots in Ontario
  • Progressive jackpot slots
  • Classic slots
  • A bingo section

We did not see table games or live dealer games on Betty’s public pages. If those matter to you, browse the full lobby before registering.

Payments and withdrawals

The site shows Interac, card and Apple Pay logos. The terms describe funding by credit or debit card, EFT transfer, wire transfer and other methods approved by the AGCO or iGaming Ontario. The cashier has the exact list and limits.

The terms set out these withdrawal rules:

  • Payments are made as soon as reasonably possible, subject to up to five business days of internal processing.
  • Jackpot payouts can take up to ten business days to process.
  • Withdrawals are subject to authorization and verification, and you may be asked for proof of identity and address.
  • Money goes back through your deposit method where possible. Otherwise you may need to provide another account with proof of ownership.
  • Betty may refuse a withdrawal requested within 14 days of a card deposit.
  • Any processing fees are shown before you cash out, and your bank may add its own charges.

The 14-day clause is easy to miss. If you top up by card and land a win the following week, Betty can decline the cash-out request until the 14 days have passed.

Player protection and support

The terms state that you must be 19 or over to use the site. Betty has a responsible gaming page and a help centre, and the footer lists the ConnexOntario helpline (1-866-531-2600). Ontario rules require regulated operators to offer deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion.

Our view

Betty fits Ontario players who mainly play slots and like the idea of a locally based operator with a focused lobby. Players who want a wide choice of live dealer or table games may find other Ontario sites a better fit.

Before signing up, confirm the listing on the iGaming Ontario directory and read the withdrawal section of the terms, including the five business day processing window. Uploading ID documents early can help avoid delays on your first withdrawal.
