8.3 Our score out of 10

Quick answer

Is PlayOJO licensed in Ontario? Yes. It is on the AGCO and iGaming Ontario register, checked on Oct 18, 2026. PlayOJO aims to pay withdrawals within 11 hours, quicker than the five-day windows in several rival Ontario terms. Whether Interac works for cashing out is the open question.

Evidence behind the scores

How
Desk research: the register and the operator's own published terms. No real-money account.

Strengths

  • Terms page links straight to the AGCO's licence search
  • Slots, jackpots, live casino, roulette, blackjack and scratch cards
  • Deposit fees on some methods are shown in the cashier before you pay
  • Responsible gaming page and help centre linked from the footer

Weaknesses

  • Maximum withdrawal and fees only appear in the cashier
  • Banking page gives no processing times or verification rules
  • Interac and MuchBetter appear as logos only; confirm them in the cashier
  • No sportsbook, so not a fit if you also want sports betting

How we scored it

8.3/10
  • Licence and authorization 9.5
    Evidence

The footer and terms say the site is operated by SkillOnNet Ltd, regulated by the AGCO under an Internet Gaming licence, with an agreement with iGaming Ontario. Our editor confirmed the iGO listing. We did not check the AGCO registry directly; you can search for SkillOnNet on agco.ca if you want to confirm the registration yourself.

    Sources: igamingontario.ca, playojo.ca
  • Ownership transparency 7.5
    Evidence

PlayOJO names SkillOnNet Ltd with its full Ta' Xbiex, Malta address, which gives you a company to hold accountable. No parent group is named on the Ontario site or in the terms, so we cannot tell you who ultimately owns the operator, and the score reflects that gap.

    Sources: playojo.ca
  • Withdrawal terms 7.0
    Evidence

The help page says PlayOJO aims to process withdrawals within 11 hours, longer if the payments team reviews them, and may ask for documents after your first request. The banking page shows a $0 card withdrawal minimum and a maximum of "See Cashier". Fees and per-method payout times are not published, and we could not review the full terms, so check the cashier for limits.

    Sources: playojo.ca
  • Local payment methods 6.0
    Evidence

The help page lists cards, MuchBetter and Interac and says withdrawals go back to the deposit method. The banking page lists only Visa and Mastercard with limits, and does not confirm Interac withdrawals or CAD. That mismatch keeps the score moderate. Confirm in the cashier that Interac is offered for withdrawals before you deposit with it.

  • Customer support 9.0
    Evidence

The help page says live chat (after you log in) and email are available 24/7. No support phone number is listed. We could not find whether help is offered in French; if you need it, ask through live chat before you deposit. Round-the-clock chat and email account for the high score.

    Sources: playojo.ca
  • Player protection tools 9.0
    Evidence

PlayOJO offers deposit and loss limits, login time limits, in-game session timers, Take a Break (24 hours to 90 days), self-exclusion, BetGuard, play and transaction history and the Safe Mate spend summary, with ConnexOntario linked. We found no wager limits, dedicated reality check or PlaySmart link, but the range of tools still earns a high score.

  • Site and app experience 6.5
    Evidence

PlayOJO Ontario: Online Casino (seller Skill On Net Ltd) is on the Canadian App Store, and the site links a Google Play app (com.playojo.www). We did not confirm the Google Play listing itself, so Android availability rests on that link. Terms, help and banking pages are in the footer. We also did not confirm RTP display, so check a game's info screen for its payout rate.

  • Complaints record 9.0
    Evidence

A search of agco.ca news and the wider web turned up no AGCO monetary penalty naming PlayOJO or SkillOnNet. A clean regulator record supports a high score. Trustpilot reviews were not part of our research; check them yourself if player feedback matters to you.

Overview

PlayOJO is a casino brand from the SkillOnNet group, known for its plain design and its focus on slots and live casino games. In Ontario it runs at playojo.ca and is casino only, with no sportsbook.

This review is desk research based on the iGaming Ontario directory and PlayOJO’s own Ontario pages. It is not a hands-on test.

Licence and ownership

PlayOJO is listed on the iGaming Ontario regulated market directory. “Skill On Net Ltd.” is on the directory’s operator list, although the directory does not show which operator runs which site.

PlayOJO’s terms and conditions page says the site is operated by SkillOnNet Ltd, with an address in Ta’ Xbiex, Malta, under an AGCO internet gaming licence and an agreement with iGaming Ontario. The page does not show a licence number, but it links to the AGCO’s licence search, where you can look the company up.

Those two references, an AGCO licence and an iGaming Ontario agreement, reflect the province’s model. The AGCO registers and regulates private operators, while iGaming Ontario, a provincial agency, contracts with them and conducts and manages the games, with each operator acting as its agent.

To check the site yourself, search for PlayOJO on the iGaming Ontario directory and make sure the web address matches the listing. A site that is not on the directory is not part of Ontario’s regulated market, whatever its footer says.

Games

When we checked, the Ontario site’s game sections were:

  • Slots and jackpot games
  • Roulette and blackjack
  • Live casino
  • Instant games and scratch cards

Return-to-player rates and stake limits vary by title, so check each game’s panel. Availability can also differ from PlayOJO’s sites in other countries, because games offered in Ontario must be approved for the Ontario market.

Payments and withdrawals

The banking page lists Visa and Mastercard, with a $10 minimum deposit, no minimum withdrawal, and the maximum withdrawal shown in the cashier. The home page also shows Interac and MuchBetter logos. According to the banking page, other e-wallets and methods may be available depending on your location, and some options carry deposit fees, which the cashier shows before you pay.

The banking page does not give processing times or verification rules, and we could not read the main text of the terms when we checked, so we cannot summarize PlayOJO’s withdrawal clauses. Before your first withdrawal, find out:

  • How long withdrawals take to process for your chosen method
  • Whether the money must go back to the method you deposited with
  • Which identity documents are required
  • Any fees shown in the cashier

Player protection and support

The site is marked 19+ and is for players in Ontario. PlayOJO has a responsible gaming page and a help centre linked from the footer. As an Ontario-regulated operator it must offer deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion. ConnexOntario (1-866-531-2600) offers free, confidential support.

Our view

PlayOJO fits Ontario players who want a casino-only site with a straightforward layout and a mix of slots, jackpots, live tables and instant games, and who like low card deposit minimums.

Confirm the brand on the iGaming Ontario directory before you sign up. Since the public banking page leaves fees and maximum withdrawals to the cashier, look at those figures before you deposit, and read the full withdrawal section of the terms once logged in.
