Strengths

  • Withdrawal target of 24 hours, five working days at most
  • Terms name TigerGen Limited, Malta company C102961, as operator
  • Large lobby including LeoJackpot and a Live from Las Vegas section
  • LeoSafePlay safer gambling program linked from the footer

Weaknesses

  • The full, current payment list only appears in the cashier
  • Withdrawals can only be requested on the website, not by phone or email
  • Big or unusual cash-outs can trigger extra verification

How we scored it

8.2/10
  • Licence and authorization 9.5
    Evidence

The footer states TigerGen Limited is a registered agent of iGaming Ontario, licensed and regulated by the AGCO under licence OPIG1337312, and the terms name TigerGen Limited (Malta, C102961). Our editor confirmed the iGO listing; we did not check the AGCO registry directly. A 2023 AGCO penalty names LeoVegas Gaming PLC, an earlier entity, so the current licence holder is a different company.

  • Ownership transparency 9.5
    Evidence

The About page and footer name the operator, TigerGen Limited, with its Sliema, Malta address, and describe LeoVegas as a wholly owned subsidiary of MGM Resorts International. The terms also refer to LeoVegas Mobile Gaming Group. A named operator, a full address and a named parent company are what earn this high score.

    Sources: leovegas.com
  • Withdrawal terms 7.0
    Evidence

The terms say LeoVegas will strive to process withdrawals within 24 hours once verification is complete, and within five working days, and may ask for ID and source of funds. There is no inactivity fee. LeoVegas publishes no per-method times or withdrawal limits, and clause 16.8 allows a 5% charge on withdrawing deposits never used for play, so only deposit what you intend to play with.

  • Local payment methods 6.0
    Evidence

The footer shows Interac, Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, bank transfer and eCashout logos. We could not find a payments page that says which methods work for withdrawals or confirms CAD, so Interac withdrawals are unconfirmed and the score is moderate. Ask support, or check the cashier, before you deposit by a method you also want to withdraw to.

  • Customer support 8.0
    Evidence

The safer gambling page refers to 24/7 customer support, and the terms give email (support-on@leovegas.com) and a phone number (+46 8 124 11 401). The support page does not say whether live chat is offered or during which hours, and we did not confirm help in French. Ask support about both if they matter to you.

  • Player protection tools 9.0
    Evidence

LeoVegas offers deposit and loss limits (24 hours, 7 days, a month), session limits, time alerts, an account pause, self-exclusion from six months to permanent, BetGuard, player history and a self-assessment tool, with ConnexOntario linked. That breadth earns a high score. We found no wager limits or PlaySmart link.

  • Site and app experience 6.0
    Evidence

An Ontario iOS app (LeoVegas Real Money Casino, seller Gears of Leo AB) cites TigerGen and licence OPIG1337312. The site's mobile apps page gives no Android store link, so we did not confirm a dedicated Android app; Android users should check Google Play themselves. Game rules are published in the help centre and terms are in the footer.

  • Complaints record 8.0
    Evidence

On April 20, 2023 the AGCO Registrar issued a $25,000 monetary penalty to LeoVegas Gaming PLC for offering an uncertified game, under Standards 4.08 and 4.09. We found no later AGCO action naming TigerGen Limited or LeoVegas, so the score reflects one older penalty. We did not review Trustpilot.

Overview

LeoVegas began as a mobile-first casino in Sweden and is now part of the MGM group. In Ontario it runs a combined casino, live casino and sportsbook at leovegas.com/en-ca/on/.

We based this review on desk research of the iGaming Ontario directory and LeoVegas’ own Ontario pages, including its terms and conditions. It is not a hands-on test.

Licence and ownership

LeoVegas is listed on the iGaming Ontario regulated market directory. “TigerGen Limited” is on the directory’s operator list, although the directory does not show which operator runs which site.

The Ontario terms and conditions settle that. They name the operator as TigerGen Limited, a company incorporated in Malta (C102961) with a registered address in Sliema. The site footer describes TigerGen as a registered agent of iGaming Ontario, regulated by the AGCO, and quotes a licence number. We have not matched that number against the AGCO’s own records, so we do not repeat it here.

“Registered agent” is Ontario-specific language. The AGCO registers and regulates private operators, while iGaming Ontario, a provincial agency, contracts with them and conducts and manages the games. That is how a company incorporated in Malta can offer a regulated Ontario site.

To check for yourself, search for LeoVegas on the iGaming Ontario directory and make sure the web address you are using matches the listing. A site that is not on the directory is not part of Ontario’s regulated market, whatever its footer says.

Games

The Ontario site groups its casino into these areas:

  • Casino: top games, new games, slots, jackpots, Megaways, table games, exclusives and originals, and the LeoJackpot network
  • Live casino: roulette, blackjack, baccarat, poker and other card games, game shows and a “Live from Las Vegas” section

Game rules are published in the LeoVegas help centre. The sportsbook covers major sports including hockey, basketball, baseball, football and soccer.

Payments and withdrawals

The site footer shows Visa, Mastercard, Interac, Apple Pay, Google Pay, bank transfer and ECashout, and body text on the home page also mentions MuchBetter, paysafecard and Neosurf. The terms say the full, current list is on the account and deposit pages, so the cashier is the place to see what is available to you.

The terms are specific on withdrawals:

  • LeoVegas says it will try to process a withdrawal within 24 hours, and otherwise within five working days.
  • Fast processing depends on your identity documents being in place. Larger or unusual withdrawals may need extra checks.
  • Withdrawals are requested through the website, not by phone or email.
  • Funds normally go back using the same method you deposited with.
  • A 5% fee may apply to withdrawals of at least $10 if that money was deposited but never used to play.
  • Your bank or payment provider may charge its own fees.

The 5% clause only applies to money you deposit and then withdraw without playing. On an untouched $200 deposit, for example, it would come to $10.

Player protection and support

The Ontario site is for adults 19 or older in the province. LeoVegas runs a safer gambling program called LeoSafePlay, linked from the footer alongside ConnexOntario (1-866-531-2600), and support is available through the help centre. Ontario rules require deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion to be available.

Our view

LeoVegas fits Ontario players who want a large slots and live casino lobby, plus a sportsbook, from an operator whose terms give a clear withdrawal target.

Before signing up, confirm the site on the iGaming Ontario directory and upload your ID early so the 24-hour target has a chance of being met. Check that your preferred method appears in the cashier for both deposits and withdrawals.
