Overview

Borgata Online is the internet casino brand of the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City. The Borgata holds its own DGE internet gaming permit, and the online platform is operated by BetMGM, LLC. The Borgata skin has been live since November 2013, according to the casino’s quarterly report filed with the DGE, which makes it one of the original New Jersey online casinos.

This is a desk-research profile built from DGE documents and Borgata Online’s own pages.

License and ownership

The DGE lists permit NJIGP 26-001 for Marina District Development Company, LLC d/b/a Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa. The DGE’s August 2026 revenue release reports the Borgata brand under the Borgata casino. The Borgata’s Q2 2026 report to the DGE says BetMGM, LLC operates the Borgata internet gaming skin, receives the net economics and reimburses the casino’s costs. Marina District Development Holding Company, LLC, part of MGM Resorts International, is named as the parent.

Borgata Online’s own site says it is licensed and regulated by the DGE and that its games are tested by the Division. You can compare that with the DGE permit holder list.

Games

Borgata Online groups its products into casino, poker, sports and arcade sections. The casino side covers slots and table games such as baccarat, and the brand also runs a separate poker room. We did not find a full game list on the pages reviewed, so check the lobby for a specific title or live dealer table.

Payments and withdrawals

Borgata Online’s banking page lists these deposit options:

  • VIP Preferred (ACH or e-check), described as the recommended method
  • Play+ prepaid card
  • Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover
  • PayPal, PayWithMyBank and electronic transfer through online bill pay
  • PayNearMe cash at local stores such as 7-Eleven
  • Apple Pay (Safari on iOS only)
  • Cash at the Borgata cashier in Atlantic City with government ID

For withdrawals the same page lists Play+, PayPal, VIP Preferred, online banking, check by mail and the Borgata cashier. Payment details must match the information given at registration, and card issuers or banks may add their own fees. Corporate, prepaid and some co-branded American Express cards are not accepted. Withdrawal times and limits sit on a separate help page that we did not review.

Player protection and support

New Jersey’s internet gaming rules (N.J.A.C. 13:69O) set the legal age at 21 and require operators to check a player’s physical location at login. Wagers are only accepted from people who are physically in New Jersey, so a VPN or an out-of-state device will be blocked.

Borgata Online links to timeout, self-exclusion and patron protection tools from its site, and says only customers 21 and over may play.

The New Jersey Attorney General’s responsible gaming page points players to the 1-800-GAMBLER helpline. If a complaint with the operator is not resolved, the DGE accepts disputes once the player has a written response from the casino permit holder. The DGE’s internet gaming contact is igaming@njdge.gov or (609) 984-0909. See the DGE internet gaming information page and the Responsible Gaming in New Jersey page.

Our view

Borgata Online suits players who like the idea of an online casino tied directly to a well-known Atlantic City property, with the option to deposit or cash out at the casino cage. The ownership chain is clear in DGE filings.

Before you sign up, check the DGE permit list, read the withdrawal help page for timings and limits, and confirm your preferred method is available in the cashier.
