Overview

BetRivers is the online casino and sportsbook brand of Rush Street Interactive. In New Jersey, the DGE’s August 2026 revenue release lists the BetRivers online casino under Golden Nugget, while its sportsbook is listed under Monmouth Park. The casino ranked in the top ten New Jersey online brands by year-to-date win in that release.

This is desk research from DGE records and BetRivers’ own New Jersey site.

License and ownership

The DGE lists internet gaming permit NJIGP 26-002 for Golden Nugget Atlantic City, LLC. Golden Nugget’s Q2 2026 report to the DGE lists BetRivers as an internet gaming skin operated by Rush Street Interactive since May 2022. Golden Nugget receives contractual payments from the skin and does not run it.

BetRivers’ New Jersey site names Rush Street Interactive, Inc. as operator, describes itself as regulated by the DGE and shows a DGE approved badge. The Rivers and BetRivers marks belong to Rivers IP Holdings, L.L.C., according to the footer. Check the DGE permit list for the current entry.

Games

The New Jersey getting-started page refers to casino games and sports betting but does not list specific titles or categories. Check the casino lobby for slots, table games or live dealer content before you deposit.

Payments and withdrawals

BetRivers’ New Jersey page lists these deposit methods:

  • Trustly online banking and VIP Preferred (ACH)
  • Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express
  • PayPal and Venmo
  • BetRivers Play+ prepaid card
  • PayNearMe and Vanilla Direct for cash at retail stores
  • RushCash at the Golden Nugget cage
  • Apple Pay

The page does not list withdrawal methods. It mentions a feature called RushPay and says over 90% of withdrawal requests are approved in real time. That is the operator’s own figure, which we have not verified. Look at the withdrawal section of the help center or the cashier before you deposit.

Player protection and support

New Jersey’s internet gaming rules (N.J.A.C. 13:69O) set the legal age at 21 and require operators to check a player’s physical location at login. Wagers are only accepted from people who are physically in New Jersey, so a VPN or an out-of-state device will be blocked.

BetRivers’ NJ page says players must be 21 or older and physically located in New Jersey to wager. Anyone in the U.S. can register, but location checks run through a browser plugin on desktop or location services on mobile. The page points problem gamblers to 1-800-GAMBLER.

The New Jersey Attorney General’s responsible gaming page points players to the 1-800-GAMBLER helpline. If a complaint with the operator is not resolved, the DGE accepts disputes once the player has a written response from the casino permit holder. The DGE’s internet gaming contact is igaming@njdge.gov or (609) 984-0909. See the DGE internet gaming information page and the Responsible Gaming in New Jersey page.

Our view

BetRivers suits New Jersey players who want a broad choice of deposit methods, including cash at an Atlantic City casino. The license chain is clear: Golden Nugget holds the permit and Rush Street Interactive runs the site.

Before signing up, confirm the permit on the DGE list, check which withdrawal options appear for your account, and read the terms on payout timing and verification. If you also use the BetRivers sportsbook, note that the DGE lists it under Monmouth Park rather than Golden Nugget.
