PayPal lets you pay without typing your card or bank details into the casino site. You log in to your PayPal account at the cashier, approve the payment and the funds move from your PayPal balance, bank account or linked debit card.
PayPal does not work with every gambling site. Its acceptable use policy lists gambling as an activity that requires PayPal's approval, and only where the operator and its customers are in jurisdictions where gambling is legal. In practice that means you will only see it at a selection of licensed operators.
The UK credit card ban still applies. The Gambling Commission says operators can only take e-wallet payments if the e-wallet prevents credit card use for gambling, and that businesses should check money in an e-wallet was not loaded from a credit card. If your PayPal account defaults to a credit card, expect the payment to be refused or to need a different funding source.
Where a casino supports PayPal withdrawals, the money normally goes back to the PayPal account you deposited from. Processing times and any fees are set by the casino and by PayPal, so check both before you rely on it for a fast cash-out.
